What is Myotherapy?
AIM Boronia offers Myotherapy, a system of health care that focuses on the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. Myotherapy combines manual therapy, exercise prescription, and education to address both the symptoms and root cause of injury. It is used not only in managing acute and chronic pain conditions but also plays a vtal role in prevention and performance optimisation for athletes.
Sport-specific myotherapy at AIM Sports Recovery can assist in treating sporting injuries such as muscle strains, ligament sprains, tendinopathies, joint dysfunctions and nerve related pain. Our myotherapists are skilled at identifying movement restrictions, muscle imbalances and biomechanical inefficiencies that may contribute to injuries or poor performance. We can also help manage stuffeness and soreness from high training loads, as well as chronic overuse syndromes common in athletes. Beyond hands-on treatment, our myotherapists can develop tailored rehabilitation and prehab programs to help athletes recover effectively and return to play stronger.
