Dr Maddie Wright
Osteopath
Maddie has been active in sports since childhood and developed an interest in Osteopathy while spending time with team physiotherapists, myotherapists, and osteopaths. She has represented Australia in Indoor Cricket since 2015, initially in youth divisions before her debut in the open category in 2022. Maddie boasts an impressive record of achievements:
- Winner of 2 World Cups (2017 & 2022)
- Winner of 3 Trans-Tasman Cups (2016, 2019, 2023)
- Winner of 2 National Championships (2016 & 2017)
Experience & Education
Maddie graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Science in Osteopathy and a Master of Health Science in Osteopathy. During her studies, Maddie conducted a research project titled “Female Athletes’ Perspective on cyclical loading as a risk management tool.” She also completed eight months of community placement at Sacred Heart, working with chronic pain patients.
Why?
Maddie was motivated to pursue a career in healthcare by her personal experiences with injuries and witnessing her teammates’ struggles. Her passion stems from observing the holistic benefits of treating individuals beyond their physical complaints. Maddie’s aspiration to become an Osteopath was fueled by her desire to deliver quality healthcare and make a positive impact on people’s lives
